Saints Finish Season with Two Wins

Saints finish season with two wins to claim 5th place at the ACCA National Tournament in Bethany, OK. On friday afternoon, the Saints beat the #8 seeded Rhema Eagles 79-63, to put them into the consolation championship against Ozark Christian College. Saturday the saints got off to a slow start and found themselves down by 10 in the first four minutes. The next sixteen minutes were a different story, the saints took a 20 point lead at half and beat Ozark 110-77. Aaron Perez once again led the saints in all three games of the tournament in scoring and rebounding. Perez was also the scoring and rebounding leader of the tournament averaging 34 points and 14 rebounds.

Saints Drop First Round Game

Saints drop in the first round of the 28th Annual ACCA National Basketball Tournament to the #5 seed Multnomah Lions from Portland, Oregon. Despite the loss, Senior Captain, Aaron Perez, led the team with 37 points and 20 rebounds. Hillsdale was the #4 seed in the tournament and will matchup against the #8 seed Rhema Bible College tomorrow at 3:00 pm.

Four Saints Receive NCCAA II Southwest Region Honors
Four Saints were honored with NCCAA II Southwest Region awards at the conclusion of the regional championship, which saw Dallas Christian upset the #1 seed Southwestern Christian University 96-94. The Saints were awarded as follows: (left to right) Aaron Perez - 1st team All-Region, Sam Webber - All-Region Honorable Mention, R.J. Rhone- 2nd team All-Region, and Ish Maclin - 1st team All-Region.

Saints Comeback Bid Falls Short

The Saints fell today 81-76 to Dallas Christian in the NCCAA II Region Semifinal game. Down by 17 midway through the first half, Hillsdale made several runs to pull the game to a 72-72 tie. Led by RJ Rhone's game high 35 points, the Saints gave up a critical three pointer to make the game 75-72. With only a couple minutes left to play the Saints fell just short of making it to the regional championship game. Hillsdale hopes to rebound next week in the ACCA National Tournament.
